This is the Privacy Statement for the web site www.younghealthymanchester.nhs.uk
This web site www.younghealthymanchester.nhs.uk is provided by NHS Manchester
and is hosted by Wirral Health Informatics Service (WHIS). Both NHS Manchester
and WHIS are NHS organisations and as such are bound by Codes of Conduct for
handling your information correctly.
There are various parts of this web site which allow you to send information
to NHS Manchester. In some cases that information is used in an automated way
to give you the answer you need, e.g. when you put your postcode in to find
a local service. We won’t store that information for any longer than
our system needs it in order to answer your question.
In other cases, you can send us information which will be read by authorised
staff here at NHS Manchester, e.g. sending us a query. If you do so, your information
will only be seen by those who need to see it in order to provide you with
an answer. And we will only keep your information for as long as we need to
in order to provide you with that answer. The only exception to this would
be if we had to release that information to the police or other official agency
as part of a legal process.
There are also facilities on this web site which allow you to send us information
to be published here, e.g. you send us a parenting tip or information about
yourself for a blog or feature. In these cases, if your information is published
it will be available on this web site for anyone to see. We will tell you at
the time if we think any of the information you’ve provided may not be
suitable. And if at any time you no longer wish your information to be seen,
